MDD (the least publicized development approach)

Updated: Mar 14, 2021

I'm sure that everyone in development has heard the terms for different development methodologies are testing. There is:

  • Test-driven development (TDD)

  • Business-driven development (BDD)

  • Requirements-driven development (RDD)

  • Data-driven development (although I've never heard it referred to as "DDD")

This one is "MDD" for "Mortgage-driven development," and pretty self-explanatory as something that I do not want for any of my engineers/developers --although I think that most of us have been there at one time or another; when the only reason that you are showing up for work and producing anything is for the paycheck.

I won't comment on why/how I personally think this happens, but it is a very real thing.
